What are paper fillings?

Paper fillers are a type of protective packaging material that uses variously processed paper to fill empty spaces in boxes and protect goods in transit. To prepare them for use, special machines are most often used according to the type of filling.

What are the basic types of paper fillings?

The basic types include single-layer and double-layer paper fillings. These are delivered in the form of rolls or bales from which the machine removes the paper, crumples it and then separates the required length of paper.
Single-layer paper filling is suitable for lighter shipments. The two-layer variant is then suitable for higher loads.

Honeycomb (wrap/mesh) paper is also gaining in popularity. It is a perforated paper that increases the volume by manual or machine tensioning and can be used to wrap the product in a similar way to bubble wrap.

What materials are used?

Both kraft paper and recycled paper of different weights are used to fill the space. The most commonly used are the weights 50/70/90g. The weight in particular has a great influence on the behavior of the filling. While the lowest grammage is more suitable for the lightest products, higher grammages can already withstand greater loads thanks to their higher stiffness.

What machines are used to prepare filler paper?

Unlike air filling machines, each type of paper filling has its own machine.

PA4000

The PA4000 is a basic machine for the preparation of single-layer paper filling. However, it contains advanced functions such as automatic paper cutting or an automatic mode that prepares the next batch of filling immediately after removing the previous one.

PA5000

The PA5000 is able to prepare single- and double-layer paper fillings. The resulting filling is processed into the form of stronger “snakes”. Automatic paper cutting and automatic mode is a matter of course.

PA4600

The PA4600 is an advanced machine for the preparation of single-layer paper filling with a much more compact form. It offers advanced functions such as automatic paper cutting or an automatic mode that prepares the next batch of filling immediately after removing the previous one.

Wrapper

The Wrapper is a manual magazine with an integrated brake. Pulling the paper expands the cut holes and the paper is ready for use.
We also offer an electric version where the paper is pre-tensioned automatically.

AW8000

The AW8000 is an automatic machine for the preparation of mesh paper.

AB1000

AB1000 is an automatic machine for the preparation of bubble paper.
