What are paper fillings?
Paper fillings are a type of protective packaging material that uses variously processed paper to fill empty spaces in boxes and protect goods during transport. Special machines, depending on the type of filling, are most commonly used for their preparation.
What are the basic types of paper fillings?
The basic types include single-layer and double-layer paper fillings. These are supplied in the form of rolls or packages, from which the machine removes the paper, crumples it and then separates the required length of paper.
Single-layer paper filling is suitable for lighter shipments. The double-layer version is suitable for heavier loads.
Honeycomb (wrap/mesh) paper is also gaining popularity. It is a perforated paper that increases its volume by manual or machine tension and can be used for product wrapping, similar to bubble wrap.

What materials are used?
To fill the space, both kraft paper and recycled gray paper of various weights are used. The most commonly used weights are 50/70/90g. The weight significantly affects the behavior of the filler. While the lowest weight is suitable for the lightest products, higher weights, due to their greater stiffness, can withstand heavier loads.
What machines are used to prepare paper filling?
Unlike machines for air cushioning, each type of paper filling has its own specific machine.
PA2000/4000
The PA4000 is a basic machine for preparing single-layer paper filling. However, it offers advanced features such as automatic paper cutting or an automatic mode that prepares the next batch of filling immediately after the previous one is removed.
